How do I paint the tile on my oak dining table?
Has anyone painted an oak dining table with tile on top. I would like to paint the whole top black and leave pedestal the oak to match chairs?
Use a white chalk paint and water it down with some paint. Then just use your paint brush to lightly paint the surface. Wipe it down with a paper towel to leave a white washed finish.
My experience was that every bit of the stain had to be off of my oak table before the white wash stayed on. Liming is supposed to work well, so you may want to look into that.
