Leather top end table - can you cover in glitter?
So I got this leather top end table at a yard sale. The leather is pretty beat up. I'd like to cover the top with glitter! I've seen on Deb's Design where she glitters a chair pouring fine glitter into mod podge and painting on multiple coats. I'm thinking that same technique could work on the leather top part of the table. And then I could seal it with a resin or polycrylic. Thoughts?

Janet Pizaro on Feb 29, 2016Im not sure glitter is your answer . I personally think you should try to repair the leather. There are many kits available to do that. Glitter is messy and I honestly do not think it will hold up. Just my opinion...Helpful Reply

Barbara Valenti on Mar 03, 2016Why not strip off all old leather and get some wallpaper to cover the area. Does not have to be much. Heck even some contact paper. Really anything would work. You can use Elmers glue and load up your glitter as desired. Take outside, after its thoroughly dried firm. Dust off excess. Then you probably would have to use a spray polymer. Brushing might mess up the glitter. Try to keep it level, the glitter. Anything you set down on the table might wobble. Sounds like fun! Repost so we can see, please!Helpful Reply
