If the laminate is adhered well you should be able to paint over them easily.

Or you MAY have to carefully sand your cabinets first before starting your project of painting, refinishing, staining, etc. I live in a manufactured home and repainted our kitchen cabinets as I didnt care for the "paint job" that was done when we moved in. The color wasn't bad, but overall, the finish of the paint was all wrong for a kitchen...Matte, and only had one coat. If you sand, whether by hand or electric, go slow at first and of course, remove all hardware first. It can be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Our large kitchen took about a week. We gave our cabinets three coats with good quality Behr paint, with primer in one. Have fun!

On a very sunny hot Remove the countertop from the cabinet box and and set it out side in direct sunlight for at least 24 hrs . The heat from the sun will delaminate the glue and it should pop off very easily. THE ENTIRE COUNTERTOP NEEDS TO BAKE IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT!
