Is it such that you can use a basket for the drawer? Or use the space for an open shelf.
Hi Regina: You can make a new drawer front, or make a new bottom (there should be slats on the sides of the 'empty' drawer) by putting a board on the side slats and use that as s storage for fingernail polish and things like that. If you can do that, glue small round pieces of wooden dowel, about 1/8 of an inch higher than the new bottom, along the sides, screw a fancy drawer pull or knob in the centre and you can pull the bottom out without it flipping up and spilling everything :) Good luck
Hi Reginia! You could make a drawer yourself with the proper tools. It may have a different drawer front that you could make uniquely yours. Or, as others have suggested, leave it open as a shelf, and cloth, wood or wire baskets. If you chose to, you could repaint your entire dresser with chalk paint and finish with a wax or poly for a makeover.

Regina....Finish that section by using wood and use it as a shelf for little what knots, etc. Good luck
Where the drawer is missing you can use baskets. You can make it symmetrical if you wish. Good example here https://www.hometalk.com/diy/bedroom/dressers/wood-dresser-refinish-cheap-antique-4187842

Add a sheet of plywood or boards to the drawer space and use bins or baskets.
Go to a Habitat for Humanity and see if they have a dresser or drawers there that will fit your dresser.
You could put a fabric curtain over the open space to warm the piece up a little. It would be very charming. I would use a tension rod and you could put ring clips on it to slide the curtain over to access what's inside.
Put a piece of ply wood over where the bottom part of drawer goes, make it a shelf!
you could add a fabric or simply use it as shelf to display pretty items
You can use a piece of wood to create a shelf and add baskets!
You can slip pieces of sheet wood into the missing drawer space to create a shelf like area.
