My best guess is yes it may remain white as it did not have enough time to properly air dry. Then you poured the epoxy on top which effectively cuts off any and all air flow to dry naturally.
Not to worry though, from the photos it still looks way cool, and once you have accessorized, no one will probably notice - or just think it was an intended part of your design. Go with the flow as they say! I still think it looks beautiful. Next project, give the glue ample time to dry. Or use a clear contact cement type product and a pair of rubber tipped tweezers for placement of any small items.
live and learn I guess! We're still pretty happy with it. Let's call it character, haha. Thank you for your reply.
If it bothers you , next time use E6000. I love the look of this project though , great job!
most likely the wrong adhesive was used.
i think you're both right about the glue. Funny thing is, I actually started with e6000. Got about half way through the table before I ran out. Figured what the heck I'm just trying to reduce air bubbles elmers will work. I may end up doing the end tables to match at a later time. I'll definitely stick with the clear stuff that time. And make sure it's 100% before covering. thank all for your help, and kind words.
