You can turn it into an entertainment center! Paint it to match your decor ( you can use chalk paint).
Karen, please describe what cabinet looks like and how big. Is it a free standing cabinet that Hillela G. apparently has in mind or is it a wall cabinet that is usually used in a bathroom? The wall kind is what I assumed, until I read Hillela's comment.
For a wall cabinet, maybe you could repurpose it in the kitchen for spices or in a bedroom or inside a closet for jewelry.
I also have a wooden wall medicine cabinet gotten at garage sale that has shutter door. Someone put on multi coats of paint blocking the opening aside from using paint remover & extreme amounts of elbow grease. Any suggestions of what to do with it!?
I would wood burn a design on it , take the door off and use it to hang keys and post it notes maybe with a cork backing.
for something completely different.. you could mosaic it! cover it with multicoloured 1/4 inch tiles, mirror pieces, glass 1/2 marbles, using a good strong glue (I use e6000).. then let the piece sit for a few days for the glue to set completely, and grout it all.. grout now comes in many many colours, so you could choose something that would go with your decor perfectly. VOILA! something no one else would ever have!
