You can reupholster it. The cushion should be removable and it's very easy to choose a new fabric to recover it with. You can even get vinyls now that would be washable. Just remove the old fabric or you could cover right over it in some instances.
If the material you buy is fire retardant then take of old cover and use as a pattern. If not then use a piece of paper larger than chair to make a pattern by tracing around where you need to fix it etc. Keep the old fabric on if possible as this might be fire retardant. Look on base ,is the old seat stapled, if it is then you could easily do the same with a staple gun. But work from each middle on each side, then go to each corner to finish.
