Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch spray paint has worked well for me on plastic. My plastic chairs stay out all winter. As for wood, it depends on how deteriorated it is. If wood has been neglected outside it is difficult to apply a finish that will last.

what kind of paint can I use on medal front door

You can prime it with a good primer and use any kind of paint. I sprayed my front door with a paint sprayer and used Sherwin Williams and it looks brand new and it was painted 3 years ago.

I have a friend who used Rustoleum and the results were great.

There are paints make especially for plastic.... and a good exterior house paint should work on the wood.... just be sure and prepare the surfaces properly.... and if you do not want to have to repaint every year....consider purchasing all weather covers to put on your outdoor furniture during the winter.

Very good idea! Thank you! Would using a tarp work?

Seriously, my plastic Adirondack chairs are more than ten years old, outside the entire time, and have been painted only twice. Easy ten minute job once the chair has been pressure washed and dry.
