What top coat should I use over gel stain on cabinets? Thanks!

I'm almost done staining with Java gel.... looking great! There's a lot of conflicting advice. I bought their wipe on poly to use as a top coat. Looking for someone who has used this and is happy! Thanks!

I did the oak cabinets in my husbands rental townhouse in general finishes Brown mahogany Gel. I put 3 coats of general finishes high performance water based top coat in flat, I tried the satin first and it seemed a bit too glossy, the flat has more of a satin sheen that I was looking for. I put mine on with a large sponge brush, turned out great.
