Do you need to wax cabinet drawers when painting, or just the doors?

    This is for lubrication that doesn’t stain the wood, like oil does.

    are you talking about chalkpaint? If so I would wax all of it.

    If you are painting with chalk paint you need to finish with a top coat to protect your chalk paint. You can use a wax formulated for use with chalk paint or you can use a clear poly. Use whited based poly if you over going over a white paint so it doesn't yellow over time.

  • I always do both when I paint. I even do the outsider of the drawers so they slide better.
