Can you paint a cherry bedroom set? Will the paint adhere?

My dresser. I want to use milk paint.

    Hello, oh I think milk paint would look beautiful on your dresser. I would suggest lightly scuffing the surface so the paint has something to stick to. If you are not planning on distressing it I would also use a GOOD primer. Good luck!!

    I don't think I would do that to a piece in that good of condition. Try it on a discarded piece of furniture or a garage sale find first.

    I don't think I would do that to this piece. It's in good condition. What if you changed the drawer pulls to some that are more to your liking.

    I would never paint such beautiful wood. Sell it and buy one that is made of cheaper wood if you want to paint. I don't know where you are but I would buy this one from you. It is gorgeous.

    It will look so beautiful painted! Check with the manufacturer of the brand of milk paint you will be using for any instructions on prep work. Good luck!
