Scrapbook Papers Become "Quilted" Tabletop

Things often do not turn out quite like my original plan. What seems like a great idea at one point will often lead to, "what was I thinking" and is usually followed by, "hey, how about this instead". Sometimes these seat of the pants projects turn out the best.
Wish I had taken some before photos, but after four years I was too anxious to get started. I had purchased a very heavy, metal, patio table frame at a thrift sale several years ago. My original plan was to refinish it, purchase a slab of marble or granite and use it on the patio. The idea kept bubbling in the back of my mind. I knew it wouldn't be cheap ... and I am. In the meantime, we moved. No patio, but a very large deck. I kinda wondered if it might not be a little heavy for a deck, plus no cover on the deck and I didn't want something like that sitting outside all the time.
We moved into a smaller house, with a huge shop. Not much room for all my craft projects. The table frame ended up in the hubster's shop. He took a sheet of very heavy pressboard and clamped it to the frame and he was using it as a workbench. Long story, shortened version. Hubby built a loft in his shop for storage and I took over a big chunk of the real estate up there. After moving the heavy table frame upstairs I was really re-thinking the marble top idea. He carted the MDF up there and fastened it to the table frame. I finally came up with the scrapbook paper/patchwork quilt plan. The only thing I purchased for the project was about thirty sheets of scrapbook paper and a bottle of ModPodge for furniture. After laying out my design I even turned a couple of the little one inch squares at a right angle to the others, just waiting for someone to notice. After gluing all the papers into place I covered the whole top with five layers of ModPodge. I ended up not refinishing the frame. It has chipped green and yellow paint so I just added red and blue with my papers.
Since this is my craft and sewing room I decided I needed a little privacy corner for trying on clothes. I found this photo frame/room divider on eBay. The fastest way I could think of to fill all those spaces was with leftover scrapbook papers. My plan is to eventually fill them with photos but I kinda like all the colors, and most of them are also on the table top.
