Picked up this free high top table and five chairs some time back and just wasn't sure what I wanted to do.
I started by sanding but leaving a lot of the finish on to give it a rustic look
I drew on my sunflower to the table top.
I stained the sunflower and sealed the entire piece with wipe on poly.
Finished top view
Finished chair with new leather seating
Close up of table top.

I love the sunflower tables! I have a table that I'd like to stain on, I used a piece of scrap wood as a test, but my outlines all bled out.. I'm obviously doing something wrong, please let me know. Thank you!!!

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
So is the Lazy Susan the center of the Sunflower?
Did you have any problems with the stain bleeding into the unstained parts of the sunflower? If so, what did you do? It's absolutely beautiful!
Is the Sunflower free hand or did you have a stencil?? Thanks
