Trash Find Chair Redo

1 Material
This was my very first trash find that I up-cycled! Once I finished working on it, I secretly returned it to the original owners! And nope, I never did get caught. I was so excited to start this project and even more excited to get this little chair back to it's original home.
This is how I found this poor little chair. It was under a small snow mound on top of a trash pile. It was wet, filthy, moldy and sad.
I stripped off seat only to find the webbing underneath. Next I removed the right spindle but kept the center one. After sanding and brushing on a few coats of bright white paint, I cut a thick piece of cardboard the shape of the seat. Then, I added batting and the material on the cardboard and stapled everything together. Oh right, I also hand drew a little design at the top of the chair.
So... Here's the finished little cutie. I love the way it came out and it barely cost me anything. I already had the paint and sandpaper. The material is a thrift store shirt that I bought for $1.00 and the batting I bought at Wal Mart.
I brought the chair to the original owner's front porch, rang the doorbell and ran like crazy. My hubby filmed me doing it all and we posted everything on You Tube. I had attached a card to the chair saying that the family could watch my redo and return of their chair on YouTube if they were interested (they loved it and commented on my Channel!!! What a fun, fun, fun project! Enjoy your day ~Lela (TrashFindRedesigned on ETSY) My BLOG at www.trashfindredesigned.com
