You can apply this technique to furniture, walls or anywhere your heart desires.
Ace hardware offers sample jars of paint for $5. This is a great opportunity to find the perfect tones to blend.
I covered the dark red cabinet w a thin layer of white latex flat paint from Valspar as a primer.
Using the same paint brush (I used a chip brush) I blended the 2 lightest shades of blue.
While the paint is still wet blend in the bright blue paint. You can begin to see the waterfall effect.
Lastly mix the dark blue while the other paint is still wet. It easily blends while wet.
Here is the finished cabinet. Voila! A beautiful waterfall effect. You can apply this technique to walls, furniture, etc.
I used the same technique on these bookshelves with various hues of turquoise. Choose your own colors, I'd love to see your finished product. See more of my work at https://www.artisanloop.com Login/ Signup to enter the Members Only page!
