How to Create a Rusty Finish, Without Waiting 20 Years!

Sometimes we want new things to look old but don't want to wait forever for them to "age" naturally. I found a quick, and I think very easy, way to create a rusty look on new metal and all it takes is spray paint and a quick trigger finger.
Up close so you can see the detail
new wire basket found at the thrift store
brown and bright orange spray paint
base coat in brown and then spit spray the orange paint over the brian by quickly pressing the spray trigger both close and far away from the basket. Don't shake up the orange too much either so it will spit both orange and yellow.
alternate the brown and the orange until you have a finish that looks built up and rough and rusty!
Finished rusty basket in under 20 years!
