I started this project over a month ago. I stopped to make a Halloween display. Then I moved on to several other projects. I never got back to it until now. I came across this jewelry box while I was at RedRacks. It was very unique looking. I didn't need another jewelry box but I could find another use for it.
After taking out the deviders I took a box knife and cut a hole in the bottom of the top half of the box. I then took a pair of plyers and pulled the wood out.
I removed the drawer and pulled the front of the drawer off. I then glued it back on. I put the rest of the drawer to the side for future use.
I painted it with white chalk paint.
I used a lint free rag to rub black wax all over the box.
I then used a clean lint free rag to buff the extra wax off.
I tightened the hendges because they came loose from all the rubbing in of the wax.
The paint and wax I used.
