Any suggestions for choosing a new front door color?

My house has PALE yellow vinyl siding, black shutters, some white trim. I don't want a black door, which is probably the best choice, but I'm in La. where it is sweltering enough without a heat magnet by the living room.

Julie....I did mine, which was white, a slate grey, pulling that color from my brick. I like it very much. What color is your door now? Maybe a green!
How about a pretty shade of green? Blues would look pretty too.
How about going bright like red or coral?
What about a blue door?
You could go with an off white, or another pale color like a pale blue/green
You definitely don't want a dark color that will attract the sun/heat
