Asian Inspired colors for bedroom walls?

I need color paint inspiration. I am planning on redecorating my bedroom and would like to keep it Asian Inspired Buddha Zen theme. I have a small size bedroom and would like to paint my walls with 2 different colors. ANY COLOR SUGGESTIONS THAT WOULD GO WITH THEME? IDEAS ON HOW I CAN TRANSFORM THESE COLORS WITH EACH OTHER. FOR EXAMPLE : I want dark richer colors like a Deep Burgundy and another color that would go with it possibly 2nd color design incorporated on the first color . I DON'T want a flat two tone wall just something that will look and feel like a Buddha Zen garden when its completed. I will have a big Gold framed buddha picture on this wall. Thanks in advance!

I think a burgundy complimented by a nice light gray will look lovely.

Your picture is beautiful, first of all!.......I LOVE Asian themed rooms and the colors I've seen used most often are turquoise, red or deep burgundy, gold and black. The burgundy would look very nice but adding another color on top of that , I would think might take the focus away from the Buddha. I would use the burgundy or another shade of deep red and paint or stencil some bamboo on either side of the picture.....(bottom part of the wall, coming up)...........but I've always been a little on the flashy side..lol.....would LOVE to see pics when you're finished!!!!..........(maybe give me some ideas)

An accent wall painted in red would be a great start. I would then add accents around the room in black and gold.

That's how I started the room, was thinking the same thing! Thanks for responding Elizabeth. I have the accent wall a shade of black but not sure what I'm doing with the side walls yet. I have 2 big black colored shadow boxes thinking about spray painting my buddhas a gold tint and display them on wall in with the shadow boxes.

i see a soft green in all those pictures for an outdoor touch then a soft brown also. But you could go brighter with red accent and brown

I think you should tell everyone that those pictures are not of your home but are merely examples of the Buddha picture you want to hang.

Sounds like you are off to a great start! You may want to consider adding some red accents to the room to draw your eye away from all the black. Can't wait to see the finished room!

My thought is texture... with a hint of silky shimmer...think brilliant yellow w red accents. Walls can incorporate amazing texture with brush strokes in simple or complicated patterns. Lovely fans, squares like shoji screens...it would be amazing.
