I don't see why not as long as contact paper is on whatever surface really well so it doesn't lift later and loosen everything and you will also need somekind of clear primer or scuff up contact paper so the acrylic hardener will stick to the contact papers slick surface.

I'm painting a wood desk and want to use Annie Sloan Chalk paint as a base and paint details with acrylic paint, has anyone done this? When would I seal with wax?
