How do I make DIY chalk paint?

I have painted hundreds of projects using everything from AnnieSloan to all the DIY recipes. The best DIY recipe I use is this one:

4 Tablespoons Calcium Carbonate (I order it from Amazon)

1 cup paint (any brand interior house paint & any sheen, since the CalCarb cuts all sheen)

Mix the CalCarb in 2 Tbsp water and then mix into the paint. Stir until smooth like yogurt. Those sample jars of paint are great for small projects but I usually make it by the quart. As long as it is stored in an airtight container, it won't dry out quickly.

I paint furniture professionally and I prefer the calcium carbone recipes because it has a longer shelf life once mixed. But the plaster of paris recipe does a good job! BB Frosch is a great option as well!
