its a small narrow room with only half walls because the room is with our attic. We have one casement window.
I used white MDF for the frame and shelves. I painted everything white. I used home depots 2X paint. The face is just 1 of a few materials you can use. The hardest part of the painting is that the back of the face materials is a tan color and the dowels are wood. Both of these items absorb a lot of paint. I used the 2X paint with primer. I did not paint the face. Once you choose the face take cans of spray paint next to the face material and find the closest match.
I would probably paint avery thing before assembling it. If you decide to build one go on pinterest and you can find the plans.
I would go a deep purple, almost a purple- brown

what ever color you like! we cannot decide that for you!
you have a lot going on color wise - so toning it all down with one or two colors - keep it neutral for now - should help. good luck
Aqua, teal or turquoise. Get some tranquility in that busy room. Think ocean, surf, beach!
