How to give a ceramic look to a clay pot 36 inches tall?
A large red clay pot is just laying around. I'd like to know what needs to be done to have a shiny finish on it?

Spray it with a glossy clear coat.
Be careful with just spraying the outside with paint or sealer. The inside will still be porous and the paint on the outside will peel off when the pot gets wet when you water your plants. You are best off sealing both the inside and outside of the pot. For best results, be sure the pot is completely dry before you seal it.
There are also clear coats that are very shiny.
