How do I avoid crazing when using spray paint?
I have used rustoleum spray paints several times. Twice, when I have sprayed on a second coat of paint, I have run into the problem of having several places “craze”. Am I waiting too long to recoat, recoating too soon or what? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Candace! Are you shaking the can enough? If it isn't well mixed, it separates and can cause the type of problem you are having.
and read can carefully for the window of time in which you should reapply.
A few things. You are painting too soon. Make sure each coat is fully dry before applying the next. Shake the can as you paint to keep it mixed. Keep the can distance between 8 to 10 inches away from the object. Several light coats will give you a smooth finish.
I've had the same problem and believe I wasn't keeping paint in the spray can shaken well enough. Shake well after each "pass" over the item. The Rustoleum metallic paints are especially sensitive to this problem of not continuous shaken during application of especially the second or third coats.
