How do I choose the right paint to stencil my pathway?

I plan on stenciling, or maybe just doing free-hand designs on my concrete pathway, but don't know which paint would be best. I wonder if just exterior house paint would be best. Any thoughts?

There are paints formulated for use on concrete. At house no.1 I painted a rug on the concrete slab.

It was a few years ago. 26 yrs to be exact, the concrete got a good bath, let dry. Transfer your design to the concrete. Paint one color at a time, let dry, do next color repeat until the design is done. Then apply a sealant over the concrete. I used a quilt pattern as my “rug”.

For cement use porch and deck enamel. Might hold up better.

There is specific paint for concrete at the paint stores. I am not sure Home Depot would have it.
