Lattice is very rough wood and it might be almost impossible to remove it. Could you just paint over the top of it? If you want it a natural shade, pick out a color of paint that matches the natural wood.Helpful Reply -

Citristrip is the safest non-toxic remover,however it may be in your best interest to use a exterior primer and re-paint it with exterior paintHelpful Reply -
