How do I remove paint from door knobs?

Linda Santo on Apr 06, 2015take them off. Not worth the effort to do them on door because you run the risk of stripping the area around them. Put in pot of boiling water-paint on metal will slide right off. Also have heard of people soaking them in a crock pot but never tried it.Helpful Reply

Camille Carlin on Apr 07, 2015Tape around them and try a product called "Oops". It is intended to remove acrylic paint splatters and drips and comes as a liquid in a can or they have it in wipes now. Think I got mine at Home Depot. I always keep some on hand. Good luck.Helpful Reply

Terra Gazelle on Jan 16, 2016Put painters tape around the knob..get some citistrip..its natural..will not harm skin or breathing it in. In fact smells good. Put it on the paint, wait a few moments and wipe off. Rinse. Oops is also good.Helpful Reply
