Purchase samples and put up on several djiifferent walls of the house. Look at in morning, mid day and evening. Choose the one you like the best.
Take paint sample sheets home! Look at them against the "givens" of your trim, foundation, driveway, etc. to see which you like best. Then get a small sample jar of your choice to put on the house for a final look before your purchase.
Elect colors you think will look good from the exterior paint charts, once you think you know which one will work buy a sample and try it out
samples and coordinate gray with color of door and shutters
Get lots of paint samples from the store. Bring them home and tape them to your house. Look at them at different times of day to decide which you prefer. Get a small sample can from the store and paint a small section (maybe 10x10) to see if you like it. Keep doing that until you find the perfect color. I've been doing this in my entry hall for 2 weeks!
I would gat some small samples of the ones I am interested in, then mark off an area (maybe at the back or side of the house) and paint decent sized squares of each one. That way, I can see the tone of the grey in the natural lighting around the house. Trying to pick paint in florescent lighting in a store is impossible.
i really beli the darker color the smaller the house looks.
