How to paint plastic chairs?

Hi Rosi, there are specialty paints for plastic. Rustoleum makes several coors...... Here's some info on paits. I prefer to use spray paints. Clean the chair wel and maskk off any areas you don't want to paint (if any) or mask off if you want to color block certain areas. Then spray in two to three thin coats so you don't have runs or spatters. Follow the directions on the can.

Scuff with fine steel wool so the paint will adhere. Wipe down with alcohol. Spray paint with a plastic formula paint like Krylon.

I've seen people have great success with the spray paints made for plastics. Just make sure they are very clean and scuffed up first.

Please apply many very light coats to avoid runs. On shiny plastic the runs would be very obvious.

You can use a spray paint meant for plastic like a Krylon.
