Hi. Okay, distressing and white washing are different. White washing is just as it sounds. You thin down paint and brush, dab or literally use a washing motion to apply. Distressing can be a series of paint on paint on paint then sanding areas where wear would logically be, or stenciling and using plaster to age a piece.
