Typo: Rust-Oleum yellow spray paint
Try Rustoleum primer or similar, then spray paint your furniture back to its original color.
You can use paint thinner or Goof Off and a green kitchen scrubby to wash the paint off.
I've used a dremel and a wire brush to remove paint from metal. Try this on a small spot to see if it will scratch the metal. I haven't had this problem, but better safe than sorry.
I would sand it with a heavy grit sandpaper or wire brush to remove as much of the yellow as you can, followed by repainting.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
