Make sure they are clean and dry. Use acrylic latex paint. Remove the doors and hardware. Mark the doors and cabinets with tape where they go. Lightly sand the doors and cabinets to remove any gloss and roughen the surface for paint. Prime with a stain blocking primer like Zinsser 123, KILZ,or BIN. Then paint with your color. Seal with at least three coats with a water based polyurethane. Use a small foam roller and foam brush for a smooth finish.

Go to Kelly-Moore, tell them what you want to do. They will have the paint in the satin finish that you want.

Take off cabinet doors and hinges

Clean doirs, frames and drawer fronts with TSP or other grease cutting cleaner.

Sand with fine grain sandpaper (180-220)

Prime (aske your paint store for primer comparable with your paint)

Paint with alkyd paint. You can brush this on. It's kind of self-leveling so it's pretty forgiving.

If you need to add additional coats of paint, lightly sand between coats and make sure surfaces are dust free before recoating. Follow paint store's directions if dry-time before re-coating.
