A good semi gloss for the damp room. If the vanity is wood I would give it one coat of primer first.

I just painted my downstairs washroom & stained vanity & because there is no venting fan in there it was recommended I use enamel paint. Since this washroom is just off the rec room, durability is a bonus. Be sure to clean & sand the original paint/stain/finish 1st. Remove the hinges/handles & clean them well also. It took me 3 1/2 days, but I’m really pleased with my results.

Ju8st lightly sand to remove any shine. Prime with a stain blocking primer line Kilz or BIN. Paint with a latex acrylic paint then seal with at least three coats of a water based polyurethane.
