Is it possibleto spray paint indoors safely?
Howdy Hometalkers! It's very cold outside. I mean COLD! Is it possible to spray paint indoors safely, or is this a 'good weather outside project' only? Tell me how you do it indoors, please? Also, the garage is packed with our unpacked house while we renovate, and...it's not much warmer than outside... Yes. We have a basement- also packed (we have been in camping-mode for 11 months now🙄) however we may be able to create a spot down there... So! Tell me how you do it! Thanks a bunch!

What are you spray painting? If it is a small project you can use a tent! They make these small spray paint booths but I'd still wear a respirator!
Here is a link to one! They come in different sizes!

The biggest thing is ventilation and laying out coverage for the spray to go onto if it floats from your project.

Hello the instructions on your can spray paint or indicate the temperature is required for proper application and drying.
You risk paint dispersing spray paint in undesirable places working indoors plus being exposed to fumes.
Very often I will spray paint outside under my deck in a protected area and quickly transfer the item inside the garage to dry. Sometimes spray painting in a cardboard box like these Christmas bells. It is a frustrating limitation during winters temperatures.
They do make spray paint tents that might help with wind and cold or while spray painting close to the home where its likely warmest.
You can, it's not the end of the world, but I wouldn't spray like a ton of cans at a time. Make sure you cover everything with plastic and have a fan running nearby. There are also little spray tents you can buy or you can even build one too.
