Is there a way to paint a stainless steel door on a dishwasher black?

Purchased home and the dishwasher is stainless steel. It had not been cared for and has scratches, etc. that are very noticeable due to the light from windows shining into that area most of the day. I do not like stainless steel appliances anyway, and would love to paint the door black instead of buying a new dishwasher.

The easiest way to cover it is with a magnet decor according to what you like. You can order just about anything, we got ours a coffee theme just under our coffee pot
they have a contact paper that looks like stainless steel.. not expensive , might be a good start to see if you like it.
Contact paper is wonder for covering things, many patterns or just plain black, and it's cleanable.
You could, but it'd be easier to go with a magnetic panel cut to fit. Wonder if the dishwasher's manufacturer has one?
