I hate to curb anybody's creativity, but I recommend against this. The only way to make cabinets look like wood without stripping them is to either apply a custom paint faux wood finish, or apply a self adhesive product with a faux wood look. Neither wood look very professional. That's okay too, as long as you are okay with that. If your cabinets are wood, strip them for the authentic wood finish. If they've are laminate, you can prime and paint a colour you like. Otherwise, love them as they are, and you can do wonders with a hardware upgrade. Good luck
Woodgrain paint rollers! There are so many different versions available. Craft and hobby stores, home improvement centers, hardware stores. Here is one example.

I agree with Erin.
But it I understand how natural wood can warm up a space. Let me suggest some ways you can do that without changing your cabinets.
Jute rugs and and table runners. Wood dough bowls and other accessories.
recognizing that you need to warm up your space may help you look for other ways to achieve the look you want.
