My home is also rustic, to the MAX. I have found that a neutral, very light brown or dark tan is best. It blends well with wood and natural accents and any color you wish to use as your room theme, will complement it. Avoid bright colors, pastels, and white.

Hi Susan, We recently painted out bathroom gray with white trim. The gray adds drama and the white looks fresh and clean. I love these two colors together. So, my vote is for gray and white.

Possibly grey depending on size of room wether you use light or dark shade!!!
