Selling a home is a big deal. What does your estate agent or realtor say? They should be guiding you through each and every step. If not, dump them and get someone else. You are paying them a boatload of money, they ought to be there to hold your hand.
Gray and white is extremely popular right now, just choose a pale gray color. Here are some sites to get you started.

Hi Cindie,
I used to sell real estate and we always recommended that a home be repainted in a neutral color. White is one option. Grey has been in "style", but you never know what the customer wants. It also depends on your home. If rooms are dark (for example, facing north) any color will take away light. Other rooms might be bright and are okay with a neutral grey or beige. The choice is really yours.
Another thing we recommended was to clean up ALL of the "clutter". That means also putting away everything you can on counters an table tops. You can leave the coffee maker and/or microwave but other appliances should be hidden away. Clean out closets too - people will open the doors to see what it looks like inside so you want it to look organized and fresh. You can put those plug-in air fresheners around your home but personally, I'd hide them or even take them with me when there is going to be a showing. (my car hides a lot of items. LOL)
Here's a link to an article that will give you some other ideas. Best of luck selling your home!

A photo of your home would help, tremendously.
Know that although grey is popular, it doesn't appeal to everyone, nor does it work well in areas of the country where there are limited days of sun (think cold, dreary winters in the East...).
There are greys with undertones of blue that may better suited, and whites with undertones of grey and green that are more complementary.
Colors need to work with your furnishings and window trim to best highlight your home. Think of contrasting lights and darks. Not all paints work with all wood tones and floor colors.
Make sure you've installed higher wattage LED bulbs in all areas, with dimmers if necessary, to further enhance your home.
I checked with a realtor friend who recommends something in the greige family, painting all rooms the same. Trim everything white. Those seem to sell the quickest.
