What color should I paint my family room walls?

I think a khaki color wall would be nice. Then an area rug that blends the 2 colors in the rug, as you need a pattern o pick up both colors.

Since your sofa and floors are dark, I would go with a light color preferable like a cream. Find a area rug that picks up some blues to tie in with the sofa and other colors in the room. You could purchase some accessories in the color your trying to pick up in the room

I would use a neutral color on the lighter side, you can use the same color throw pillow or if you have throw pillows you can cover them in any color with or without a pattern. You could use a pillow case to cover the throw pillows that you already have You could get an area rug to pick up the colors of the sofa/laminate floor or use a neutral color to calm things down a bit. I would use either white of Khaki to lighten the room up.
