That's a personal choice you'll have to figure out for yourself. If u want to see what colors ur neighbors are using, that might help in ur selection, if u want to "blend in" or pick contrasting colors to stand out from the crowd.
Hi Sherie, house colors really hinge on several factors. If you live in a neighborhood and if there's an association you are a part of they may actually have to approve of any colors before you can use them. Also if you live in a neighborhood you may want to check out the houses around you and ask yourself if you want to stand out or blend in.
Another big factor (as for me this is the most important one) is what style home you have. Personally I could never bare to put modern siding or paint colors on my 100 year old farmhouse! Honestly whether I like a color or not is totally secondary to what feels right on my home.
If you know the general age and style of your home you could try typing that in to google image search to see what kinds of colors etc other people have used.
Great advice from Shelley. You could start out with just painting the trim a bright white. Add white shutters and paint the door white. Set out white planters, chairs, etc. Decorate with red and white flowers. I think you'll really like the change. All this is a lot less expensive than painting the entire house.
