Painting a big house - color suggestions?

I have a big house that is painted white with black shudders and it has alumnium siding and want to paint it another color . Some kind of a earth tone color with white trim. I am thinking not a dark brown and not a really light color. Do you think something like that would work. Any suggestions on the color?

Well where do you live? Urban, suburban, country, city, beach, desert, mountains, historical district?
If you live where it gets hot, lighter colors reflect heat while darker colors absorb heat.

Yellow w/white trim, or yellow some shade that is light, with black shutters. Make sure they contrast each other. A sky blue w/white, light green w/ white, choose a base color that will look good with your shutters.
How about a blue-gray color with white trim?
