Is it still "trendy" to paint upper cabinets a different collor than the lower cabinets? Sorry, I'm a senior, doing the work myself, and don't really stay current on trends!!!!

Hi, yes I would definitely say its still on trend! Here's a google image search for inspiration. It does seem more common for the uppers to be a lighter color than the lowers so the kitchen doesn't feel top heavy: https://rb.gy/pdeqwt I think its pretty cool personally!
Yes, it is still "trendy". In fact, it is also a "classic" look, timeless and worth doing.
Yes, this is still something popular. Either white uppers with a color lower or 2 shades of the same color with lighter uppers and darker lowers.
Yes, it is. Although, I'm from the school of 'do what makes you happy!'
It does seem to be a trend, although from what I've read the paintinig of cabinets may be on the downturn, except for white! I think the trend works well in larger kitchens, but the most important things is if you like the trend, go for it!
Yes it is still trendy. I love the idea of adding some color to a kitchen since so many are all stark white and look like a hospital setting.
But whatever makes you happy is the most important trend. You will be looking at this everyday so your opinion is what is most important.
That is a classic look, regardless of trends, but yes right now it's still in vogue. I say do what makes your heart happy!!
yes you see it all the time on the TV shows and usually the island base is a different color
in my kitchen we stained our golden oak cabinets a darker color of brown then painted the island black since our granite has these colors in it and it looks great - https://papermoonpainting.com/painting-cabinets-two-different-colors/
More than likely a trend. If you prefer a darker bottom color then enjoy it, go for it, or reversed, up to you too.
Some features that play into the choice of colors for the cabinets are the floors, countertops, walls, and appliances. Go with what you will think look good.
Yes it is still trendy to paint upper a light color and lower a darker color. I am more traditional and would paint all one color. If you have an island then paint that a darker color. Remember that prep work is 95% of painting kitchen cabinets. It is not an easy job. It is time consuming.
Diane from In My Own Style has a great tutorial on painting cabinets. https://inmyownstyle.com/diy-kitchen-makeover.html
Hi. The color combo of two colors is very popular right now. Keep the lower cabinets the darker color and the upper cabinets the lighter color. I think you will love the outcome. Good luck.
Yes, I think it is still in style, but I think I see it where it is the same color on top and bottom more often. I would do what you prefer!! :)
I prefer matching, but everyone has their own taste. It is quite easy and a cheap way to give your kitchen a new look. Be sure to wash them well, and apply a good primer/sealer before painting. Good Luck
I think it is a personal decision. Observing several bloggers diy projects might influence your choices. Here’s a few links for your consideration.

It's a great way to add color without it being too much color. White uppers is usually easy on the eyes and lightens and brightens the space
The “trends” are for either the island or the uppers to be a different color.
Uppers are typically “dirtier” because of the grease-laden vapors floating from the stove onto them. I hypothesize that’s why when they get scrubbed clean, they need to be refinished.
