Removing paint from furniture

What is the simplest way to remove layers of paint and polyurethanes from a wooden end table. I have never done this before. Thank you

    You can try to sand it off, or you could use a stripper. Citri strip is a good one and not as harsh.

    if there are multiple layers and you suspect lead paint have it dipped stripped. refinishing shops can dunk it in a vat. the paints and varnish kinda melt away. it will be rinsed off and dry when you pick it up... but not sanded. you get to take it from there...

    if you don’t mind using chemicals, the easiest way is to purchase a paint stripper product that you leave on until the old paint bubbles then you scrape off with a metal paint scraper. If you don’t want to use chemicals, you can use a heat gun to blister the paint or you can use a sander to get to the bare wood....if you use a sander, be careful that you are not sanding through any veneer that might have been used

    I would use citristrip for big projects an goof off if its just for a small spot
