I don't know what your original question was, but as a former interior decorator let me offer this: Paint your storm door (the paint store can guide you to the right paint for your door's material) the same color as your front door. Otherwise, from the street your front door will look diminished in size.

I have spray painted my storm door with Rustoleum. It was also a Larson metal door.

If you have a recycle program where you live, see if they offer free paint. We have one here and every friday you can go down and get free pain. Habitat for Humanity offers low cost paints.

Dee, my storm door has glass panes in the top surrounded with white plastic. Wouldn't I have to paint the plastic trim with plastic spray paint? Also the paint crazed but still smooth. Did you sand your door down? Please elaborate.

I have glass panes too, but mine are removable I took the glass panes out then took the frame out. Not hard. Take a photo with a cell phone to remember how to put. It together. Krylonmakes a plastic spray paint. Rustoleum with a primer usedfirst would work. I lightly VERY lightly sanded then just spray painted. Looks great.
