I would use a roller. I think a sprayer would be very difficult for a non-professional to use without getting paint all over.

  • If you have never used a paint sprayer before, you will have a larger margin for error, overspray, painting the ceiling, floor, etc. It does take practice.

Roller and a good quality brush for "cut work". Sprayer could result in more clean up, unless you're very practiced in its use.

Faced with painting almost the entire inside of my home, I got a powered roller. It takes paint directly from the can, then to the roller, a finger trigger adds paint to the roller. INFINITELY easier than a pan. HIGHLY recommend. I first cut in with a brush, all the trim, then just kept going as I had the same color everywhere.

I would choose to roll on the paint on the walls inside. With a paint sprayer you will need to put plastic over everything because of the overspray.
