Paint Sprayer for Chalk Paint

Someone recently posted a paint sprayer on their blog that worked excellent for chalk paint. I have a difficult time with spindles on chairs and was hoping to find one that was excellent and not too expensive. I am so mad that I didn't save the blog!!!

I use a sprayer for most of my projects but can't recommend one for chalk paint. It has a high viscosity so would have to be thinned a lot before spraying, even then possibly projecting an orange peel texture. Once thinned, chalk paint has a limited shelf life and can spoil, changing it's chemical composition and odor. Instead of trying to spray with chalk paint consider using General Finishes milk paint. It's a furniture grade paint that lays down beautifully, whether sprayed or brushed. I use an Earlex 5500 sprayer and have been happy with it. Properly thinned, I never have issues with sputtering and uneven coverage in my painted finishes and topcoats come out perfectly smooth.

Thank you. I am so upset with myself ; last week one of the many blogs I read had a #1 recommendation for a paint sprayer for chalk paint. I thought I saved it...but can't find it in my favorites anywhere. So disheartening!! Thank you for your input.
