I think it is all a matter of taste, if you want something bright, or something darker and cozy. My kitchen has white cabinets and a black countertop, so we went with a bright lime green. So, sometimes it depends on your cabinets and counter top colors. Or if you want to stay white for a crisp and clean look. Here are some links for inspiration:

It depends on how much light is in the kitchen and the color of the cabinets. I like light colors. Light aqua, green, blue, orange or yellow.
Grays are very popular now, and there are many kitchens with gray walls and cabinets, just in different tones. But I still prefer white or light walls, white or wood tone cabinets, and some type of stainless steel appliances. Then bright accents in one color like red, blue, or in a trend like roosters, country chic, or beach. Jmho. โบ๏ธ
Light blues, yellows, and gray walls are very popular right now especially if you have wood or tile floors. Decide what you like and what makes you feel good and what you have that goes with those colors. Gray is neutral and anything would go with it. Also consider your appliances/colors. Hope this helps. We are old fashioned and have gold with accent of light rust colors, but we love the colors with our appliances and kitchen decor. So plan on what YOU want. You might see a paint store and look through some samples of kitchens to get an idea what color you think might work for you. Have fun and enjoy the process!
Hi Pam,
I think you should paint your kitchen walls whatever color makes you the happiest and forget about what others think about it. Most likely you'll be the one that's in the kitchen the most and it should reflect your likes. You should Look into the room and it should make your heart happy and bring a smile to your face. It should say this is my kitchen and I am home!!
