Depending on the style of your home, you can go with black, white or a nice pop of color. Yellow, aqua, purple, green, etc are all good colors with red brick. A pic of your house would help give us a better idea.

I love the aqua/turquois idea, unfortunately one of my neighbors already has that color. Yellow... possibly! :)

    What color is the trim?

I think a yellow or a blue would look great.

I think many colors would look great - except for RED! One good source to check is back issues of HGTV magazines. They have a "front door of the month" in each issue that not only gives color ideas but also some tips on how to accessorize the front door area. Whatever you choose, be sure to get good size samples to paint on the door before deciding on the finalist- and be sure to get the opinion of your neighbors across the street. They will be the ones looking at it most for years to come!

I will certainly check out HGTV magazines 'front door of the month' as I am more of a visual person anyways. This is most helpful, thank you!

Maybe a silver blue gray with white trim. ...if you want something neutral. Also, pick something else to add that color to though. Mailbox, shutters, rockers on porch etc.

I like your idea of also adding the color to other elements to tie it all together! Thank you!
