Used 3 coats polycystic but now paint is coming off in some areas. Thank you for any suggestions for when I feel them.

For painted countertops, they should be maintained annually with fresh poly top coats.

Thank so much Sharon. Good to know as I plan on redoing them. They looked really good too! Have a great Thanksgiving!

    Hi Sharon,

Painted worktops are only a temporary fix. Maybe cover heavy duty areas with stick on tiles and make a feature of them.

Thanks, not something I would do.... but its a cheap temporary fix when u don't have the $$$$, protect the work with multiple top coats.

  • Hi, Patti!

If you’re going to redo the countertops, the faux stone or granite kits are very easy to use, come with an excellent sealer, and are very durable. Two brands I’ve used are Daich Spreadstone and Giani, each with success! I hope this helps!
