What is the best way to paint the hood and cover of a stove?

I have a 1970, mustard yellow, stove and hood. I would like to paint them white to match the rest of my kitchen make-over. What type of paint should I use?

Dear Angie You need to buy paint that covers metal. You can buy spray paint but that's a mess. Go to Home Depot or Lowe's, and see what color whites they have. Some are slightly off white. I think a white white, would look cheap. Look at some samples, and I believe that you can buy a small can of paint to try. Ask if they can help you with the colors you'd like to try.
